I have pointed this before in my blog based on real examples, and here I am again with this distinction! The Lumen Prize 2013 has been awarded to a Greek, Katerina Athanasopoulou, among 700 works from 45 countries.

Katerina’s work, ‘Αpodemy’ is an experimental piece on emigration created for the “Visual Dialogues 2012” of Onassis Cultural Center and exhibited in the Park in the Plato’s Academy Area.

We should maybe pay attention to Katerina’s phrase about her work being a portrait of Athens, “in a time when Europe seems to be imploding”.
